Data Protection Policy

Children’s Aid Society (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’, etc.) is committed to safeguarding the privacy and personal data of individuals associated with our organisation. This Data Protection Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data.

Purposes of data collection

This policy applies to all personal data collected or processed by Children’s Aid Society, including data obtained from clients, potential clients, donors, employees, volunteers, and other individuals.

We use and/or disclose that personal data so that we can provide a supportive environment for children who require care and protection in a residential setting. This includes providing the programmes described on our website, which extend to aftercare and mentoring after a resident has left Melrose Home – Children’s Aid Society.

We also use and/or disclose personal data so that we can comply with our legal obligations.

Withdrawing your consent

We respect your right to control your personal data. If at any time you would prefer not to provide some personal data that we request, please inform us. We will then explain the purpose of collecting that data. If you still do not wish to provide it, we will discuss with you whether or not we can proceed without it.
