Data Protection Policy

Children’s Aid Society (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’, etc.) respects the right of individuals to protect their personal data.

You can download a copy of our data protection policy to get a better understanding about how we collect, use and disclose personal data about you while recognising both your right to protect personal data about you and our need to collect, use or disclose it for purposes that we believe are reasonable and appropriate in the circumstances of our operations of Children’s Aid Society.

Purposes for us collecting, using or disclosing personal data

We collect personal data from or about residents of Children’s Aid Society and potential residents, clients and from our donors, employees, including volunteers, and other individuals.

We use and/or disclose that personal data so that we can provide a supportive environment for children who require care and protection in a residential setting. This includes providing the programmes described on our website, which extend to aftercare and mentoring after a resident has left Melrose Home – Children’s Aid Society.

We also use and/or disclose personal data so that we can comply with our legal obligations.

Withdrawing your consent

If at any time you would prefer not to provide some personal data that we request, please let us know. We will then explain our purpose for collecting that personal data. If you still do not wish to provide it, we will discuss with you whether or not we can proceed without it.
