Since 2003, Esso and FairPrice Group have provided drivers and customers the convenience of a one-stop shop. Today, drivers can get their cars washed and refuelled at all 59 Esso stations island-wide, while also buying their daily necessities at FairPriceXpress and Cheers stores.
Esso and the FairPrice Group have turned routine refuelling stops into an enjoyable retail experience. Here, customers can get their cars serviced and buy quality fuels, fresh produce, hot food and an extensive array of products under one roof.
ONE CONVENIENT DESTINATION, COUNTLESS OPTIONS
This year, Esso celebrates the 20th anniversary of its alliance with FairPrice Group. What sets this partnership apart is not just the comprehensive automotive services and mart offerings, but the added value it brings to loyal customers.
As part of the celebrations, Esso rolled out a digital stamps programme on the Esso app till Nov 5, which will give digital fuel stamps that can be exchanged for up to S$6 off a S$60 Synergy fuels purchase, on top of the Smiles points earned. These stamps are automatically credited into the Esso app with every S$20 nett* (capped at three stamps per transaction) spent on Synergy fuels.
Ms Tan Wei Ling, Singapore retail fuels sales manager, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, said: “Together with FairPrice Group, we continue to develop our services and offerings to provide added value and convenience for our customers. Our biker’s stops at selected Esso stations provide cyclists with a comfortable shaded rest area. App enhancements allow customers to earn Smiles points, track deals and redeem rewards. We continue to listen to feedback and keep abreast of the latest trends to meet our customers’ needs.”
Ms Serene Tan Si Lin, FairPrice Group’s senior manager (Operation & Alliance, EM, and Online), added: “Our range of offerings has continuously evolved to meet changing customer needs. For instance, we have noticed that our busy customers frequently purchase hot food items, leading us to expand our selection.”
Esso stations regularly feature store promotions paired with the Esso Smiles loyalty programme. Members can participate in members-only giveaways, lucky draws and enjoy fuel discounts.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
From Aug 9 to Sep 9, Esso’s Pay-It-Forward initiative at stations island-wide made a significant impact on families facing food insecurity in Singapore. Customers sponsored a care bag containing groceries and daily essentials by donating in cash or with their Smiles points.
The donations of over S$100,000 contributed to more than 5,000 grocery care bags. On Sep 15, more than 70 volunteers from Esso and FairPrice Group partnered The Food Bank Singapore to pack and distribute an initial batch of 1,200 care bags to its beneficiaries.
On Sep 23, Esso and FairPrice Group held the ninth edition of their Charity Car Wash at six petrol stations. The event raised more than S$100,000 to help vulnerable children and youth from the Children’s Aid Society. This was achieved thanks to the efforts of 200 volunteers and generous contributions from the public, who donated a minimum of S$20 for a car wash.
