SINGAPORE: FairPrice Group (FPG) and ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. commemorated 20 years of strategic alliance with their ninth annual charity car wash event. To commemorate the significance of the decades-long partnership, almost 200 volunteers came together to clean cars to raise over S$100,000 to be donated to the Children’s Aid Society (CAS). The funds will be used to support vulnerable children and youths aged seven to 18 years old experiencing adverse family circumstances or child protection issues.
The charity car wash took place at six Esso stations across Singapore, including the Esso Station at 399 Lorong 2 Toa Payoh, which was graced by Mr Seah Kian Peng, NTUC Enterprise Group CEO, and Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore. Mr. Seah was in attendance to present the tokens of appreciation for the gold sponsors of the event.
Mr Alvin Goh, Executive Director of Children’s Aid Society, said: “Today marks the second year of our partnership with ExxonMobil and FairPrice Group. The contributions from last year have gone a long way in supporting our children and youths in their journey to become resilient and empowered individuals. We offer our heartfelt gratitude to the organisers, as well as the sponsors and donors this year for supporting Children’s Aid Society through the donations from today.”
