Be a Volunteer

Our work would not be possible without the support from our volunteer partners, who work hand in hand with us as part of a cohesive Melrose Community to improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged children, youth, and families.

We are thankful for the dedication shown by groups and individuals from various walks of life – from corporations to educational institutions, student groups to well-wishing Samaritans, who are passionate in helping our residents become well-adjusted individuals who themselves may one day give back to the disadvantaged.

Volunteer Guidelines

We seek your kind understanding that:

  • All volunteers have to be aged 18 years old and above.
  • Volunteers who are keen on the Mentorship programme will be required to complete an application, interview selection, and screening with MSF before being inducted into the programme. Training opportunities will be provided.
  • Minimum commitment levels, in terms of frequency and overall programme duration, will be required.
  • No photography or videography of residents for publicity/social media purposes is allowed in order to protect the confidentiality of our residents’ identities.
